Launching towards a New Space Generation

Australia’s Space Agency is wanting to inspire Australians with space – how can you make the most of opportunities for your high-ability students? [Professional Learning Day for Student Coordinators and Careers Teachers]

Rocket companies sending Astronauts into space, probes sampling asteroids, even a helicopter on Mars. There’s a lot to keep up with!

  • My students are soaking this up. How do I ride the wave with them?
  • How do I make the most of their interest?
  • What authentic resources can I bring to the classroom?
  • How can I support students explore careers and opportunities in the space sector?

Grow your understanding of what’s happening in space with VSSEC’s aerospace and planetary science experts.

This day-long, hands-on Professional Learning program, will cover:

  • What’s happening in space now
  • What’s coming up next
  • Bringing radio astronomy to your students
  • Robotics in space – putting students in the driver’s seat for Mars Rover exploration and developing micro-satellite systems
  • Resources for students drawn to careers in space technology and exploration
  • A Resources Pack to take back and share at school.
