Teachers attending this Professional Learning Program will get hands-on experience operating VSSEC’s UV Visible Spectrometer, Atomic Absorption Spectrometer and Gas Chromatograph.

The program includes:
Review of units 3 & 4 by Mr. Christopher Dwyer including the exam and student performance.
An introduction to the experiments presented by Strathmore Secondary College teacher, Dr. Chris Kladis.
Analysis of Water Samples by Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy.
Analysis of Aspirin by UV-Visible Spectroscopy.
Determination of Alcohol content by Gas Chromatograph.
Varianstaff will work with teachers to share their in-depth knowledge and experience in operating the machines and interpreting the results.
